My Lil' American Boy

The other night, we were in the bathroom getting ready to brush Blakes teeth before bed, when all of a sudden he said the 'Pledge of Allegiance' (well his version of it anyway). It brought tears to my eyes seeing my three year old standing there proud saying the pledge. He has been going to chapel at preschool once a week and Miss Marsha always does the pledge to the American Flag and then to the Christian Flag. He also does this two times a week in his class with Miss Megan. I didnt think he was paying that much attention to what they were saying. I guess I was wrong. Friday during Chapel, Miss Marsha talked to the kids about the election and the importance of why all the parents were voting. She passed out American Flags to each of the kids and talked about what it meant and stood for. Blake was really excited about his flag. So the next morning he asked if he could go put it outside in the front yard. Again, my eyes teared up at knowing that my son is starting to realize more and more about life. So here is a video of Blake saying, again his version, of the Pledge. (He kind of gets the two confused but thats ok isn't it?) Then here are a few pictures of him putting the flag in front of the house. I am so proud of him.
