I posted something like this back in November after seeing Fireproof, but thought it was appropriate to post again. We again watched the Movie Fireproof last night with about 400 other people at our church. The message that is shared is amazing and there were not many dry eyes when the movie finished. I think no matter what kind of marriage we have, they all need constant time and prayer. It is easy for me to put so much time and prayer into my job, kids and other things and forget that my marriage also needs those things as well. We put so much into a relationship before we are married and then kind of slack off from time to time after that. In the movie, they talk about "studying your partner." Do I study Nate? Do I know everything about him, his new likes and dislikes? Do I take time to really know who he is now after 7 years of marriage? What I do know for sure is that Nate is unbelievable and I could not be more grateful for our relationship. I won't go into many details here on this post but Nate if you are reading this THANK YOU for being who you are and the things you have done to make our marriage a priority. Thank you for not giving up during the difficult times and for making the very best of the good times. Something else in the movie that really sticks out for me is when they talk about a marriage being Fireproof. It does not mean there won't be fires, it simply means that you can withstand those fires when they come along. If we allow God to be the focus of our marriage, He will Fireproof it to withstand the trials that come our way. I pray that God continues to Fireproof my marriage and helps us withstand anything that Satan may throw at us for the next 6o plus years.
Nate, I love you MORE!

I love reading your posts when you talk so highly of your husband. It's so sweet. I haven't seen Fireproof, will have to rent it soon.
