So for the past week Blake, Mckenna and I have done nothing but pass around some kind of bug to each other. It has been fun let me tell you! Well this morning, Blake woke up with Pink Eye. I knew it was coming as close friends have it as well. I took the kids to Urgent Care after church as Mckenna also was coughing really bad. Both kids did awesome while there. Blake made me promise him he was not going to get a shot. He flinched and gave me the look of fear every time the nurse/doctor came at him with a new tool. We leave with a diagnosis of pink eye in both eyes for Blake and a perscription to pick up. When we got home, Blake's eye was a mess. I took him into the bathroom to clean him up and to show him and just talk to him about what was going on. Our conversation went something like this:
Mommy~ "Hey bubby, you want to see your eyes? They are really yuckie."
Blake~ "No, they aren't yuckie."
Mommy~ "Here let me pick you up and show you. They are full of goobers. You are not allowed to touch them ok?"
Blake~ "Why are there goobers in my eyes?"
Mommy~ "Well, your sick and the doctor said you have pink eye."
Blake~ "No mom, I dont have pink eyes, I have blue eyes see."
