Louisville Sluggers

This week while in Louisville, Ky for the NACC we stopped by the Museum where they make the baseball bats. We went on a tour of the factory and actually got to watch them making bats for the pros. I was amazed to find out that it takes about 40,000 trees to make just one seasons worth of bats. They also told us that the factory will produces approximately 1.8 million bats a year. Thats a lot of trees. Once you get through with the tour, each person gets their very own mini-bat. Blake had a great time and even told Nate that he had a great day when we got in the car. There were a lot of hands on things to see and do. Nate and Blake got to actually hold a bat that Micky Mantle used, Nate thought that was awesome, Blake had know idea that it was a piece of history. Blakes favorite part was the huge bat in front of the store.
