This past Thursday, Mckenna had to have another set of tubes put in her ears and her adenoids taken out. We had her first set of tubes put in back in January or 09' and they hadn't fallen out yet but were starting too and the Doctor said he wanted her to continue having them a little longer. She has problems sleeping at night due to snoring and not breathing well. You should have heard this girl snore. We had an x-ray taken of her face about a month ago and the results showed a very large adenoid that needed to be removed, it was blocking everything. No wonder the girl could not breathe. So surgery was scheduled for April 1st!!! Mom came down to help with Blake and the two of them had a great time at Paint-n-Play making shirts! We got to the hospital and had the exact same room we had the last time and Mckenna did great!! All the nurses loved her, she was so talkative and was such a good girl. The surgery only took about 20 minutes and we were back in recovery holding her in no time. She took a good 30 minute nap while we waited for the 2nd bag of an IV to empty and we headed home. She had a relaxing afternoon and when she woke up all she wanted to do was eat! She had not eaten since 8pm the night before. We have already noticed a huge difference in her breathing, it is so quiet now. We are hoping that this helps put an end to the colds she was getting every 15 to 20 days and an end to all the medication she had been on. We were gone for Easter and hadn't heard yet how everything went. So glad she did so well and we will continue to pray that this does the trick!
Of course, we're THRILLED everything went well AND that this should correct her problems. PLUS... what a cute cute cute idea putting the old and new photos together like this. It's WILD how much babies can change in such a short time. Aren't we ALL blessed!??!?!?!!!!!! I'm so happy for your family! :)
