The Grella Household has been pretty busy the last couple of months. I feel like it was just the beginning of October and we were getting ready for Halloween....now we are only days away from Christmas. Where does the time go? I thought that since I was so far behind that I would just do one post to catch everyone up on what we have been up to the last two months.
OCTOBER
29th ~ The kids were in Nathan's Cousin Heidis wedding. They did such a great job. They were the cutest Ring Bearer and Flower Girl I have ever seen.
30th~ While home for the wedding, I turned the Big 30!!! I was out that morning with my mom doing some shopping and we were going to head to grandmas for lunch. We had to stop by Grinders (my all time favorite place to eat when we go home for visits) to pick up a pie for dessert that grandpa had requested. When we got there, I was looking at all the pies at the counter and heard this little voice say, "Mom! What are you doing here?" I turned around and looked....and there in the big room was my entire family!!! Nathan put together a Surprise Party for me. I could not believe it!! It was so great to see all my family together in one place. I never would have imagined having everyone I love in one room together on my 30th birthday. It was the best day and I got to share it with everyone I love.
31st~ Trunk-N-Treat was another success this year at the Church. There were so many families there and I loved to see the families all dressed up together and enjoying the night. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. My kids loved passing out candy to everyone just as much as walking around and getting candy from other families. Of course Blake had to go as Joey Votto and Mckenna was the cutest little Strawberry Shortcake!!!
8th~ Blake had a homework assignment that we all enjoyed working on. He brought home a page that had a turkey on it and he had to be creative and disguse the turkey so no one would know that it was really a turkey. He knew exactly what he wanted to disgues his turkey as....any guesses? YEP! Joey Votto!! We think it turned out pretty good!!!
Well that pretty much wraps up our lives...I have left a few things out but I will save those for the next post. Those few things deserve a post of their own. Until then, I hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
