Birthday Celebrations

It is still hard to believe that Mckenna is 3 now. I still look at her and think that she is a baby, but she is the complete opposite actually. She is growing up so fast...faster than I really realize or would want. I wish that I could keep her at this age forever. She is a blast to be around and just cracks us all up. We had a great time celebrating with family this special little girl. We had a ton of family and friends over for her party, and then celebrated with just the 4 of us and then celebrated one more time with Nathans parents when they came down a few weeks ago. When we had our family and friends over, it was funny to step back and look at the 25-30 people in our house were there to celebrate a 3 year olds birthday...but we are completely blessed with great family and friends. She had so much fun opening her gifts and seeing what she got. She got a ton of jewelry, Beauty and the Beast stuff, barbies, a tangled outfit, a jewelry box for all the jewelry of course and much more. It was a fun day.

When we celebrated her actual birthday with just the 4 of us, we asked where she wanted to go and she wanted to go to Dewey's Pizza and then out for ice cream afterwards. So that's what we did. We gave her a few of her gifts there which she loved and saved the big one for home. We got her a Belle doll with a Mrs. Potts and Chip tea set. She loved it, she calls it Baby Belle.

Nathan's parents were not able to come down to the family and friends weekend so we celebrated a few weeks later with them. They got her an ice cream cake with big balloons on it. Mckenna was sure to make sure we all knew she was getting a piece with the balloons on it. We had a great time spending the weekend with them and are always sad to see them go.

Again, it is still hard to believe that Mckenna is 3. I remember the day we went to the hospital to have her like it was yesterday. Like I said in the previous post, we have struggled with Mckenna the last three years with a lot of health issues, sleeping issues, behavior issues and the list goes on. But I would not trade any of it for the world. I love having this precious girl in our lives and she totally completes our family of 4! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for her life and we are so blessed to be the parents that God allowed to raise her here on earth.

We are Blessed!
