Blake Turns 6

It is hard to believe that Blake is 6 years old already. The past 6 years have been a blast with him. He is so funny, he cracks us all up. He is such a good kid, I thank God for allowing us to have this time with him and for allowing us to be his parents. The day started out with pancakes and eggs with Nana. My mom came to visit, so the kids were really excited. After breakfast, Nana took Blake shopping so that he could pick out whatever he wanted for his birthday. He knew exactly what he wanted to get before he got there. When they got back, he wanted to open his gifts from us...little did he know what he was in for. Nathan was in charge of the gifts this year and I think I should have paid a little more attention to what was going on. Nathan, I mean we, got him 32 Star Wars figures and a plane. YIKES!!! Nathan found a great deal on all of them on Craigs List and said he couldn't pass them up. Blake loved it of course and couldn't wait to set them all up to have a fight. I thought it was kind of boring, but like I said, he loved it. I think Nathan acatually got them for himself so that he and Blake could play. :)
After lunch, we headed out to Blake's T-Ball game. His team did awesome!!! They won their game and really played well. We are so proud of Blake and love how much he enjoys the game. He really gets into it and does a great job. After the game, we all were so hot, that we needed to head home to cool off for a while before going to dinner.
We have a tradition that we go to Deweys Pizza and then Dairy Queen on the kids birthdays. So we got our normal Hawaian Pizza and had a great time. On the way to Dairy Queen, Blake says, "I would rather have a cake than ice cream!" WHAT!!! I didn't make a cake, we were planning on ice cream. So we did what any parent would do at this point. We stopped at Kroger and picked a cake up. Blake picked it out...he wanted Boston Cream Pie Cake! WHAT!!! What 6 year old wants a Boston Cream Pie Cake! Oh well, it was a fun night and we all had a bunch of laughs.

A lil' bit of icing fun with mom
