Prayer Chain

Blake is loving preschool. He loves his new friends, his new teacher Miss Linda, the centers he gets to go to each day, writing his name, hearing new stories, signing with Miss Robin and learning new things. I have already shared with you about the Filling the Bucket lesson he learned, and he still talks about it each day. He tells us whose buckets he has filled that day and when he has been a bucket dipper. He even told me the other night when Nate and I were having one of those not so fun conversations, that I should not be mad at daddy and that I was dipping into daddies bucket! Wow!! Needless to say, we both started laughing and the topic of conversation seemed childish compared to what are 4 year old son was trying to remind us.
Monday Blake came home with one of those chains that he made out of loops of construction paper. He called it his "Prayer Chain". He showed us that on each loop was the name of one of his friends from class. He was to pray for each of his friends every day. Needless to say, we have been praying for all of his classmates each day. He loves for me to hold the chain and show him each loop as he says whose name is on that particular one. Then he says something about that person and prays for them. So far, he has prayed that they have a good day, make good choices and tonight he prayed that they would not get diarrhea!!! HAHA I love this kid!!! I hope that each of his friends know just how lucky they are to have Blake as their "Prayer Chain Buddy".

I love to hear everything Blake is learning. Four seems like it's such an exciting age. Hard to believe he's that old already--or that we're old enough for you to have a kid that old! ;-)
