Today was my birthday and I think that this might have been one of the best ones in a few years. The fun really started on Thursday when the kids and I went to the zoo with some girlfriends and their kids. It was a great day...but that is another post coming soon. But the part that made it the best was that Blake and Mckenna were excellent the entire day. I didn't have to be "mommy" at all. We just had fun and that was the best gift they could give me. I had a great time with the girls as well. We all need a little girl time every once in a while right?!?! Thanks girls for a great day!
I woke up to Blake telling me Happy Birthday all on his own this morning...which melted my heart that he remembered on his own to say it. Tonight, Nathan took me out to dinner while friends came and watched the kids for us. We went to Bravo's which is one of my all time favorite places. Then headed to do a little damage at my favorite store at DeerField.
Once I tried on just about every outfit there, and then purchased almost all of them, we headed to Starbucks for a special treat! Nathan had their Pumpkin Spice Latte and I had the Carmel Hot Chocolate! YUM is all I have to say!!! From there we headed over to Walmart to do a little pre-christmas shopping since we didn't have the kids. It was kind of nice to walk around the store and really look at things instead of just running through the aisles to get what we need and get out before one of the kids start asking for something they really don't need.
All in all, it was a great night and I could not have asked for a better Birthday!!! As I sit here typing this out, I am thinking about the day and all of the important people in my life who called and wished me a happy birthday. I am once again reminded of what each of them mean to me. I am blessed to have them all in my life. The last year has been a tough one for me personally with several things and God has really shown me in the last few months that I can't take for granted the things He has blessed me with. I have some really great friends right now who love me and except me for me. My two kids are amazing and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I love each of them so much it kind of hurts in a way. Nathan is amazing and there are no other words for him. He is a great dad and a great husband. I know that we have really grown spiritually with each other this last year and it makes me excited to see how the next year plays out. My family is yet another blessing. We are all spread out now in three different states and it makes me sad some days to not have family here. I miss them so much and cherish the times we have together. I love all of you! Thanks for all the birthday wishes!! They all came true!
Thanks for a Great Birthday Nathan!!!
