Blake has been waiting for this week since the begining of school in September. Each week one of the students in his class is "Star of the Week". This just means that they are getting to know each individual student a little better. Today he had to bring in a poster of pictures of him that tell about who he is. We had fun working on this last night. He could not wait to put his name on the top and then put all the stickers on the page. He helped pick out a picture from all of his birthdays, a picture of when he got to meet Mckenna for the first time, some with his favorite trains, eating ice cream, at the beach, helping bake an apple pie this fall and then just some other random favorites. He wanted to look at it all night long and talk about each picture.
On Wednesday he gets to bring in a favorite toy to share with the class. (Nunnie, can you guess what he might have wanted to bring in? I will give you a clue...It has a red nose!!! I talked him out of that one since the music doesn't play anymore.... thankgoodness.) He has not decided what he will bring in at this point yet. Then on Friday he can bring in a snack to share with the class. I am sure that they do some fun things in class with being the "Star" so I can't wait to hear all about it. He was so excited this morning and then again when I picked him up from child care to take him to class. He is wound up for sure. He might be Star of the Week for preschool, but in our book at home and in God's Book, he is always Star of the Week!! We are so proud of you monkey!!
