The Monday after Christmas we got to celebrate and be with my mom's side of the family. It was great to be with all of them. I was standing in the kitchen talking to my sister, mom and grandma when all of a sudden I turn around and see my little brother, who now lives in Virginia, standing there. My jaw hit the floor. I could not believe it was him. I had just talked to him on Thursday and he said nothing about traveling home for the holidays. I was so excited as I have not seen my brother since earlier in the summer. I hugged him for what seemed like forever and let out many tears. I am proud of him and what he is doing right now and it was just good to see him home.
We all had a great time with family with lots of food and many laughs. The kids had a great time opening their gifts and playing with their new toys. Time with any of our family always goes way to fast, we are sad when it is time to start cleaning up and head home.
