Tonight on the way home from work, Blake and I were talking about God. He loves to ask questions about what God is like, what heaven is like, what happens when someone dies etc. He is very curious about it all. So here is part of tonights conversation, it went something like this:
Mommy: "Blake, let's pray that God gets us home safely in all this rain."
Blake: "Ok Mommy! But Mommy, why can't God drive us home?"
Mommy: "Well, because God lives in heaven, he can protect us but we have to drive home ourselves."
Blake: "Why can't we ever see God?"
Mommy: "God lives in heaven. He wants us to believe that He is there and then one day we will see Him when we get to heaven. Can you say this with me, Even though I can't see God, I still believe He is there."
Blake: "Even though I can't see God, I believe He's there." What is heaven look like? Can God see us?"
Mommy: "Yes God can see us all the time. He watches over us and takes care of us. Heaven is a beautiful place, there will be lots of places to play, lots of food to eat, and all our friends will be there."
Blake: "Lots of food?" Will there be Mac-n-chees?"
Mommy: "I don't know, maybe."
Blake: "Will God eat with us too?"
Mommy: "Yup!"
Blake: "I want to sit by Him when we eat, I would love that."
Mommy: ...with tears in the corner of my eyes....."I bet He would love that too!!"

WOWZER!! That little man you're raising is SO FULL of amazing thoughts, joy and peace. - Such simplistic faith is remarkably inspirational. Thanks for sharing these conversations :)
So sweet Amanda! I love conversations about God with our boys as well because their thoughts are so clear and innocent. Great little man you have there!
"Except you become like one of these..." How much our little ones teach us! You're doing a great job!
