What a Fun Day!

Today has been a really fun day for us. It started out a little sad as we were hoping pop and grandma would be here for a visit. Because of the snow both here and where they live, they were unable to be here, so I had to come up with some fun activities for us all to do to keep us occupied and happy. So we started off by cleaning the carrots and potatoes for the pot roast for dinner tonight. We ate breakfast and played in the tent from the camp out last night for a while. Then we made rice crispy treats for our SuperBowl party on Sunday night. Blake and Mckenna counted out the marshmallows and loved watching them melt over the heat. Then we made heart shaped sugar cookies and decorated them with red and white icing for a special treat tonight after dinner. Blake and Nate shoveled the driveway and then made an igloo. Nate said that Blake was more interested in throwing snowballs at him while he made the igloo for Blake. Blake loved that he could fit inside of it. They came in with rosie checks ready for some hot chocolate. I had that and the snow ice cream ready for them. After naps we just hung out while we waited for Mark, Shelly and Caleb to come over for dinner. All in all we had a great day. I am kind of sad that it is over actually.
