One of the special things we promised Mckenna she could do if she started wearing big girl underwear and going potty was going to a friends house for a play-date. Mckenna and Abby, a little girl from church, have just recently become good friends. The two could be sisters, they are too cute. Abby has been potty trained for a while now and has been encouraging Mckenna to do the same. So since Mckenna is potty trained now, we kept our promise and set up a play-date right away. She got to go to Abby's house yesterday and play for a few hours in the morning while I ran some errands. As I pulled away from the house, my heart ached but was full of happiness too. It is hard to believe that she is old enough to be without me at someones house. But then I am excited for her and the new stage she is entering as a Big Girl now. I heard they had so much fun playing with Abby's little kitchen, her dress-up clothes, the Dora dollhouse, and then even helping Jackie ice a birthday cake. Mckenna had so much fun that she didn't want to leave! Thanks Jackie and Abby for having Mckenna over to your house to play. She already is asking when Abby can come to our house.
