Christmas 2010

It's Christmas Eve!

Christmas has come and gone way to fast again this year. This is my favorite time of year and I am always sad when it's over. I love the way the house looks with all 5 of our trees and lights, and the smell of my favorite candle burning in the kitchen. We put our trees up before Thanksgiving and have a hard time taking them down. I am sure they will be up for at least another week before I break down and say it's time to put it all away.
Christmas Eve was a lot of fun again this year with our Family Service at Church. My favorite part is the very end when we sing Silent Night and the lights go out and all the kids have glow sticks. It was breath taking!!!! We came home and enjoyed a delicious dinner of Ham, Sweet Potatoes, salad and a great dessert with good friends. Blake and Nate put the reindeer food out in the front yard, we put the cookies and milk out of Santa and the kids were off to bed.
We woke up the next morning, got everyone dressed and ready and headed down to see if the 'Man in the Red Suit' made a visit to our house while we were sleeping. The kids were so excited to see that he had and what he left. It was so fun watching them enjoy all they got. We took our time and enjoyed the morning, a small breakfast of our traditional cinnamon rolls and juice and got ready to head North to visit family. It was a great morning and we all enjoyed the gifts we got each other. Blake loved his Remote Control Helicopter and his baseball signed by Joey Votto, Mckenna loved her doll house and pillow pet, Nate got the video game he wanted, and I got a new winter coat that I had been eyeing at the store! It was a great Christmas for us all. We hope that you enjoyed your Christmas Holiday with your families as well.
