Showing God's Love to Others

Nathan and I are wanting to make sure that we are showing the kids how to show God's love to others, serve others, and say "Thank You" to people. Today we have a crew of men working out in front of the house. It is pretty chilly so we decided that we would make them cookies and hot chocolate and say thank you!!!
We put the cookies in the oven and Mckenna helped me stir the milk on the stove for the hot chocolate. When I asked her why she thought we were doing this she said, "Because they are hard workers and that God is in our hearts." It was too cute. I told her that we wanted to show them God's love through us and that we were thankful for their hard work on this chilly day.
Once everything was ready, we headed outside and made our rounds to the crew. There were 6 of them working out there and they were so grateful for the cookies and cocoa. The one guy told Mckenna that she had made the best hot chocolate he'd ever had. Mckenna just smiled!! The guy that Mckenna is standing next to in the picture below told us that he also is in the Army and this was one of the nicest thank yous anyone had ever given him.
We came back inside and Mckenna said, "This was the most funnest thing ever mom! They were happy for that hot chocolate and cookies we made-did them!! Now can I have a cookie and hot chocolate too?!?!" I just had to laugh!
It was fun and I am so glad that I am able to stay home with her and help teach her things like this.
