11 Months

Mckenna is only 4 weeks from a being a year old. It is completly unbelieveable to me that I have an almost 4 year old and then a little one who is not a baby any more. Mckenna is just like her brother in so many ways. She is so independent and wants to figure things out on her own. When she can't her temper comes out and she gets angry. She loves to play with Blakes toys, more than her own actually. I should have bought several more cars and trains instead of dolls with dresses for christmas. She loves to eat just about anything. Her favorites are noodles, cheese puffs, hot dogs and waffles (not all at the same time). We have had several rough months with ear infections that have come and seem to have decided to stay. She has been a trooper though and not complained to much. She has 3 1/2 teeth and loves to chew on her finger. She still loves her purple blanket but is not much of a cuddler. She is walking pretty good now, but still has trouble when we put sneakers on her. They seem to weigh her down just a little bit. She loves to climb our stair case and when she gets to the top, she turns around and has this huge smile on her face. She likes to play hide-n-seek and be swung in the air by her arms. She is a great sleeper at night, but is terrible when it comes to naps. There are days when all she wants is to be with Nate, then there are days when all she wants is to be with me. She can say "da-da", "mom-ma", bub-a" and "ba-ba". I heard her say "ball" the other day but can't get her to say it again. She loves anything that makes noise and loves to watch cartoons with Blake in the morning. She dances to music, and even sings her own at times when she doesn't think we can hear her. She is always smiling when we go to get her out of bed in the morning, hardly ever a tear. She is our little 'love-bug' and it makes me sad and happy at the same time to see how much she is changing.
