That is what she is to us....irreplaceable. Mckenna's surgery went so well. We had a rough time getting to the hospital because of the weather, but once we were there, everything went as smooth as possible. Everyone that we talked to was so nice and they all loved Mckenna. We were taken back to the surgery prep room at 10:45 so that they could put her to sleep. They gave her a gas mask and she immediately began to cry, as did I. They took us to a waiting room once she was asleep and wheeled her into the surgery room. That was at 10:51. At 11:08, a nurse came in and said, "Has the doctor not come in to see you yet?" We told her no, and she said, "Oh, ok. Well Mckenna is awake and doing just fine and drinking a bottle in the recovery room. You may see her once the doctor talks with you." That was it. It was over. I couldn't believe it. Everyone says it is quick. I felt like the minutes were dragging while sitting there staring at the clock, but once it was over, I realized just how quick it was. I could not wait to get to her and hold her in my arms. She started to fuss the minute she saw us and that was it, she seemed a little out of sorts but nothing to bad. She drank a bottle and we were off. It was a good afternoon at home with 2 good naps and a happy baby at the end of the day. Thanks go to Brad and Becca for watching Blake for us while we were at the hospital, not sure what we would do without you guys. We are thankful for safe travels for Nana who came down in the snow and ice to be with us as well. She is enjoying a fun day with Mckenna all to herself today and loving every minute of it. Thanks to everyone else who said a prayer for us, we greatly appreciate it.
