After 5 ear infections, 50 days on medication, more doctors visits than I can count, and sleepless nights, Mckenna is finally getting tubes for her ears tomorrow. We have been dealing with this since September and just this last week our doctor decided it was time for it to be done and an appointment was made to see the ENT. After a quick visit to the ENT, the appointment was made for 6 days later. I couldn't believe we were going to get in that fast, I was so excited. I am nervous yet calm all at the same time right now, not sure how I will be come time to put her into a light sleep. We have to wake her up tonight at 4:30 am to give her a bottle and that will be the last thing she can have until probably 1 pm tomorrow. I asked if we were going to be able to stay with her until they actually take her back for the surgery and the lady on the phone said it depended, some doctors let you and others do not for various reason. So needless to say, I am nervous, anxious, and calm tonight as I put Mckenna to bed tonight. Everyone says that once tubes are put in, your child is completely different. Other than sleepless nights, and the medication, Mckenna has been a trooper through all of this.

Been there baby! E's surgery was this past year and we barely had enough time to sit in the waiting room before they called us to say it was all done. Literally less than a minute. :) He had so many nasty ear infections and hasn't had ONE since! HALLELUJAH! We never knew when he had one until it got really bad cause he just doesn't get weird when he's sick. Nothing phases the kid. Anyway, the surgery was super easy, super great for him. The ear drops are not fun, though. Good luck with that one. I am sure she'll do beautifully!
I will say a prayer for Mckenna today!
